The Salève, a mountain of exploration!
Known for its cliffs and the marvellous panorama which is revealed from its summit, the Salève is also a place of leisure and exploration. To benefit fully, the ideal is to organise a tour with, for example, a visit to the Maison du Salève, a cable car ride, a meal and some leisure activities..

Reach the Top!

From the departure at the Pas de l’Echelle, the Salève cable car rises to 1100m in less than 5 minutes. At the top of the cliffs, discover an exceptional panorama of Geneva and its fountain, Lake Geneva, the Alps and Mont-Blanc.

Enjoy yourself!

Numerous activities are possible not far from the cable car. Opportunities for relaxation, fun or laughter as the group wishes.

Priority to nature

   Visit of the botanical trail from the cable car, to admire a wide variety of floral and tree species? (1/2 an hour, easy walking)
   Discover the fauna and flora
   Alpine Pastures Walk with a view of Mont-Blanc (150km of marked and maintained trails, from a small stroll to challenging paths).
   A Night-time walk in the countryside
   Introduction to astronomy under the starry sky, to learn to recognise the constellations and listen to the legends.

A look at our heritage and culture

   Visit the Maison du Salève , exhibition area, exploration and awareness of the protection of the Salève.
   Discover the religious heritage of the Salève , following the tracks of the monks Chartreux and the Compostelle path.

  Orienteering course with map, compass and questionnaire on the massif
  Mountain Biking
  Tyrolean rope traverse, etc.


In the winter

  Fun in the snow, snowshoeing, tobogganing, igloo construction, orienteering courses.

Food

At the top of the cable car, the “Le Panoramic” restaurant welcomes groups and offers aperitifs, cocktails, lunches, dinners or evenings. It is able to cater for groups of up to 400 people.

Organise Annual Meetings or Conferences
Horizon has a 100² room with a capacity of 60 people, lecture style or 40 people, meeting style.

 Let yourself be guided by the experts: Le Bureau de la Montagne Salève and the Maison du Salève can make available a team of mountain leaders, instructors and guides either to advise you or to accompany your group.
