The botanical trail
Located at the extreme North-East of the upper cable car, has a wide variety of flower species. The trail is indicated by information boards by each plant.
The botany trail, starting close to the upper car station, has a wide variety of flower species. The trail is easy and the circuit takes about half an hour. TheFEDRE organises guided tours of the trail.

Picnic, Birthday Party on the immense playground!
Do you wish to organise a birthday, a snack, or add a little extra something to your Sunday meal and have a picnic?
Come to the Salève!
Picnic sites are provided close to the snack bar, and also along the Botanic Trail located just a short walk from the upper cable car station.
At the new restaurant you can also try some great birthday cakes!
There are numerous natural playgrounds and children will be able to let off steam and run around!
Discover the Salève by visiting the Maison du Salève interpretation centre
Exhibition, exploration and awareness areas, the Maison du Salève offers you a way to discover the massif, to understand the relationship between Man and this “mythical” mountain.
Understanding the Salève better, in order to better protect and preserve it, is one of the objectives of the Maison du Salève.

Suggested Programmes
Here’s one but with such a large choice of activities your free to make up your own:
Morning: Visit the Maison du Salève to understand the Salève better.
Midday: Go to the Upper station of the cable car for lunch at the restaurant or have picnic on a tablecloth of grass.
Afternoon: Go for a stroll along the botanic trail or on one of the Salèves 80 footpaths. In July and August it’s even possible to go for a donkey ride!
